Hasso Plattner Institute is a world-wide unique place for Digital Engineering, Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship. As a privately funded institute, we offer our students unique, tuition-free programs in IT Systems Engineering and Data Engineering that are practice- and innovation-oriented. To further expand our offers, we are seeking an ambitious, execution-driven and committed team member (m/f/d) as

Research Assistant / Ph.D. Student

Your Role

• You will have a great possibility to write a doctoral thesis in the fields of entrepreneurship or computer science and to link it closely to your work at School of Entrepreneurship
• You will actively shape with us one of Europe’s leading ecosystems for tech founders and startups
• You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of one of our core lectures/programs, e.g. the  HPI Product Builder, or the  creation and delivery of new formats
• You will be responsible to prepare and organize events and workshops around Entrepreneurship,  e.g. the HPI Best Idea Award or Boot Camp
• You will coach founder teams and startups from the HPI ecosystem and will work closely together with our unique investment vehicle HPI SEED

Your Qualification

• You hold a Master’s or diploma degree in business administration, economics, business informatics or in another related discipline with excellent results
• You ideally bring experiences in working with founders and startups about how to setup and grow digital products  and/or businesses
• You enjoy teaching and coaching around the topic entrepreneurship
• You execute and learn fast, you are a team-player, and you enjoy working with high levels of accountability, responsibility and commitment
• You are excited about facilitating the creation of more impactful products and startups in a high-profile tech ecosystem
• You possess strong communication and presentation skills in both English and German
