On February 13, 2009, the German IPv6 Council will meet at the Hasso Plattner-Institute in Potsdam for the 3rd time. Subject of the meeting will the outcome of the 3rd German IT-summit on November 20th, 2008 in Darmstadt, the upcoming "IPv6 Actionplan for Germany", the admission of new members, and the planning of further IPv6-related activities for 2009.

On January 15th, the International IPv6 Application Contest 2009 was started to foster the generation of ideas and applications, which help determine how to introduce IPv6, the internet of the next generation, on a large scale and use it effectively.

Also on the agenda is the 2nd German IPv6 summit, which will take place on May 14-15, 2009, at HPI Potsdam.

Am 13. Februar 2009 findet das 3. Treffen des Deutschen IPv6 Rates am Hasso-Plattner-Institut in Potsdam statt. Auf der Agenda stehen dabei die Nachbereitung des 3. Nationalen IT-Gipfels der Bundesregierung am 20. November in Darmstadt, der kommende "IPv6 Aktionsplan für Deutschland", der gestartete IPv6 Application Contest 2009, der kommende 2. Deutsche IPv6-Gipfel 2009 und die Aufnahme neuer Mitglieder.

Am 15. Januar 2009 wurde der International IPv6 Application Contest 2009 gestartet,  der frische neue Ideen hervorbringen soll, wie IPv6, das Internetprotokoll der nächsten Generation, großflächig eingeführt und effizient angewandt werden kann.

Ebenfalls steht der 2. Deutsche IPv6-Gipfel auf dem Programm des Treffens, der am 14-15. Mai 2009 am HPI in Potsdam stattfinden wird.
