Interactive Data Exploration using Shiny App on Quantitative Proteomis data

Mariet Mathew Stephen

Proteomics is the study of proteins, as they are central to most biological functions within an organism. The alterations in protein expression can be used as indicators of pathological abnormalities prior to development of clinical symptoms. Quantitative Mass Spectrometers (MS) is one of the major techniques used for protein biomarker discovery, however, demanding computationally intensive bioinformatics data analysis and interpretation.  We develop web application facilitating fast interactive data analysis of the complex multi- dimensional proteomics data, allowing a quick interpretation of data even by users with limited bioinformatics knowledge.
