Setting

Setting was founded in 2015 by the HPI alumnus Alexander Schulze, Nadine Achilles and Johnathan Teh. It is an office rental marketplace to match companies having vacant spaces with companies seeking for an office. While the current market is dominated by brokers, Setting is automating processes, algorithm-based matchings, and educating the involved parties with the legal and administrative aspects of office rentals to create a transparent market.
Setting provides services to both lessors and tenants. Lessors (landlords or companies with vacant space) benefit from a targeted reach to relevant tenants of their office space, professional contract handling, space furnishing services and payment processing with higher rental returns at the same time, while tenants find commission-free spaces, flexible rental durations and online contracts.
Setting is currently present in Berlin and helped startups like Dubsmash, Spotify, and N26 as well as established companies like Groupon, Metro, and Pinterest with their office needs.
