E-School part of jury at international Charité BIH Entrepreneurship Summit

Since its inception in 2015, the E-School has built strong ties with the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Berlin and Brandenburg.

On Tuesday, the E-School was invited to fill a jury spot at the Charité BIH Entrepreneurship Summit. Over 400 global leaders in healthcare innovation, including entrepreneurs, scientists, physicians, investors, policymakers and industry leaders, startups, government and regulatory bodies’ representatives convened at the 11th Charité BIH Entrepreneurship Summit to talk about Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Microbiome, Regenerative and Cell Therapies, and Novel Funding Models in Healthcare.

As part of the jury for the area Digital Health (the other areas were Medtech and Pharma) the E-School representative watched pitches from startups hailing from Germany, Switzerland, Israel, and Poland. The startups were looking for collaboration opportunities as well as funding ranging from Seed to Series B, which made for a broad range of startups at different stages of their development. Similarly diverse were the solutions presented, ranging from information and communication platforms for doctors or patients, to prevention and health care apps to IoT devices for hygiene and pill dispensers.

We thank the Charité Stiftung for the invitation to participate in this exciting international event and look forward to future cooperation.
