The new semester at HPI has begun: HPI and Student Representatives Welcome the First Years

The new winter semester 2018/19 at the Hasso Plattner Institute has started and so we welcomed the new students on October 12th 2018.

Traditionally, the first semester students were welcomed to HPI and introduced to campus life by the institute management and the student representative council "IT-Systems Engineering" (FSR) in the week before the start of the lecture period.

The students also visited the E-School, where they gained their first experience in the field of IT entrepreneurship.
During the campus tours, an introduction to the lecture hall etiquette and a presentation of the HPI student clubs, the students received their first important informations regarding their studies.

In the evening, the new HPI students made their first contacts while barbecuing together and in the auditorium cinema. The traditional sponsor breakfast on Friday morning offered the opportunity to discuss all open questions with an experienced fellow student before the city rallye took place across Potsdam. Friday afternoon saw new and old HPI students get together for the Friday Drinks to finish the semester and get in the mood for the new semester.
