A wide range of support offers are available to HPI founder teams. Budding entrepreneurs are optimally supervised during the startup process — whether it be through individual coachings or the provision of infrastructure and capital.
HPI offers its aspiring entrepreneurs exciting events in conjunction with partners from industry and science. These events provide the ideal framework for networking with other founders and experts from the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
There is a coworking space for startup teams associated with Hasso Plattner Institute. Besides daily work it can also be used for sprints, workshops, team meeting, etc.
With the coworking space, HPI would like to offer the possibility for startup teams to work on the targeted development of their business idea. Besides providing the space and a basic infrastructure, there is also the opportunity for contact and networking with other startups. The coworking space is located at Campus III.
Information about the coworking space
Where is the coworking space?
The coworking space is in the HPI E-School on Campus III, in the Rudolf-Breitscheid-Str. 189 (ground floor, room 1.3.13).
Who is the space intended for?
The coworking space is available for HPI students or startup teams, with at least one HPI student or alumni member, who need space to work on their business idea. We welcome those who are interested to stop by any time during opening hours.
Are there opening hours for the coworking space?
Yes and no. The coworking space is normally open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5 pm. Beyond that, startup teams can request a key by mail from the HPI E-School team to gain more flexible access. Please note that the key can only be issued to team members with a connection to HPI.
How long can the space be used by a team?
As a rule, the use of the coworking space is generally unlimited in the pre-founding phase. This time is however intended to be used intensively by the startup teams in developing their business ideas and preparing the startup. They are supported in their goals by the E-School team, for instance in regular status meetings. Use of the coworking space is therefore especially designed for teams who are serious about founding an IT startup.
What is available for use in the coworking space?
Tables, chairs, monitors, Internet, electricity, whiteboards, sofa, beanbag chairs, drinks. Startup teams are welcome to contribute their own design ideas. After all, the coworking space is intended for the founders!
What else?
The time in the coworking space is accompanied by workshops given by the E-School team and including contributions by guests. Startup teams can also get direct support and feedback from the HPI E-School team to further develop their business idea.
