25 years of HPI – a quarter of a century dedicated to science and education for the digital future. As a center of excellence, we have researched innovations and nurtured talents. Together, we now find ourselves at the onset of an era of rapid changes, driven by the developments of Artificial Intelligence. How can we, as an institution and as leading players in companies, continue to inspire young minds, advance research, and create innovations that will lead to a more sustainable future?

We invite you to an Alumni Fireside Chat on the topic "25 Years of HPI - Past, Present, Future" on October 17, 2024, at HPI.

With a mobile app, they motivated people to engage in environmentally friendly behavior in their daily lives and rewarded them with vouchers from sustainable companies. Despite initial successes, the startup could not establish itself in the market. In 2015, Fabian Lindenberg moved to D-LABS GmbH, a former HPI spin-off, where he took over the management of the software development team. Since 2018, he has been working at the digital language-learning company Babbel. Initially, he led individual teams as an Engineering Manager, focusing on enhancing user engagement. In 2022, he transitioned internally to Babbel's business customer division and, as Head of Engineering and now Director of Product & Engineering, expanded product development with three teams.
