Innovation for Jobs

All over the world, scientists, politicians, and company executives are thinking about how digitalization will affect the labor market. How fast and in what form will technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence, become part of daily working life? How will they affect our work? What will the job profiles of tomorrow’s jobs look like? What other competencies than those now in demand will be expected by colleagues and managers in the future? And what strategies and best-practice examples can guide companies and employees successfully in this transformation?

The discussion, which began in 2016 at Hasso Plattner Institute with the “German i4j Summit – Innovation for Jobs” will resume on April 9 and 10, 2018. Experts from the arenas of politics, science and business will then focus on “Innovation for Jobs – Die Zukunft der Arbeit”.

During the conference and at the HPI Global Design Thinking Week on March 22 & 23 and from March 26-28, 2018, professionals and students will design ideas and solutions for the posed questions using the innovative Design Thinking methodology. These will be incorporated into the “Innovation for Jobs” conference.
