New course: Competitive Programming

Starting this semester, the group offers a new project seminar on Competitive Programming.

Programming competitions are about coding efficient solutions to complex algorithmic problems, while under time constraints. The quality of solutions is graded by an online judge software.

International competitions like the ACM ICPC are being held regularly since the 1970s. One goal of the course is to constitute a team of competitors, formed by Students of both HPI and the University of Potsdam, who will participate in this year's regional north-west european ICPC contest.

The first meeting will be on the 19. of April, in H-2.57.
