Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation Meeting in Passau

The Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI) held a meeting in Passau from 24 to 26 June. The agenda included research funding in the light of the corona crisis, preparation of the 2021 EFI-Report and identification of topics for the 2022 report.

The Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI) is composed of six members and provides scientific policy advice on topics relating to research, innovation, and Germany's technological performance. Led by the chairman Professor Uwe Cantner and the vice-chairwoman Professor Katharina Hölzle, the expert commission analyzes and evaluates relevant topics for the German innovation system. Thereupon, the EFI develops actionable recommendations for national research and innovation policy.
