EFI publishes Policy Brief on Corona Crisis

The Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI) has published a policy brief on the current corona crisis as well as recommendations for an innovation-oriented policy for a new start in the economy. The Commission of Experts warns against neglecting major structural and societal challenges and offers recommendations on the relaunch the economy in the corona crisis. The aim is to ensure the liquidity of companies, to set up an innovation-oriented economic stimulus package and to increase R&I support programmes.

The Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI) is composed of six members and provides scientific policy advice on topics relating to research, innovation, and Germany's technological performance. Led by the chairman Professor Uwe Cantner and the vice-chairwoman Professor Katharina Hölzle, the expert commission analyzes and evaluates relevant topics for the German innovation system. Thereupon, the EFI develops actionable recommendations for national research and innovation policy.
