We are very happy to announce that Thomas Bläsius has been appointed Junior Professor for Algorithm Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, his alma mater. He will accede his new position with the beginning of the new academic year in October.
We thank Thomas for the great time together, the joy we shared, and the things we learned from him.
Thomas will be joined by Marcus Wilhelm as a PhD student. Marcus studied at the HPI and recently wrote his Master Thesis titled Beating the Worst-Case: Analysis of a Practical Algorithm for Treewidth with the group.
