Design Thinking Week

An introduction to Design Thinking (for HPI students)

For HPI students and some external participants the HPI School of Design Thinking offers twice a year a compact program for an introduction to Design Thinking. In this one-week program between semesters HPI students and external participants have the chance to gain profound insights about the innovation method of Design Thinking and work together with a project partner on real life challenges.

Past projects included topics like: "Innovation Networks" (Telekom), "Design Futures for Entrepreneurs" (Urban Tech Republic), "Creating Innovation Hubs" (Factory Berlin).
Once a year we also host an international version of the DT Week together with partner universities and institutions from our global network. Here HPI students and alumni get the special opportunity for interaction with international peers and have the chance to see how Design Thinking is put into practice by others.

This year we are dealing with the challenge of "Digital Transformation". Together with our project partner Interhyp we are looking for innovations making an impact on tomorrow's way of working and the job market. We will tackle this issue with the question: How can midsize companies become attractive employers for IT professionals?

The current DT Week will take place from October 6 - 12, 2016. The next DT Week is scheduled for April 2017. For more information about how to apply, ECTS points etc. check here - (German only)
