All over the world, scientists, politicians, and company executives are thinking about how digitalization will affect the labor market. How fast and in what form will technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence, become part of daily working life? How will they affect our work? What other competencies than those now in demand will be expected by colleagues and managers in the future? And what strategies and best-practice examples can guide companies and employees successfully in this transformation?
On 9 and 10 April 2018 experts from politics, science and business will gather at the Innovation for Jobs conference at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam to discuss these questions. The HPI School of Design Thinking already addresses the effects of the digitalization on the future of work during its Global Design Thinking Week “From Inspiration to Ideas” (22/23 March and 26-28 March 2018) and presents the results at the conference in April. During the two conference days experts will develop ideas and solutions for questions regarding the future of work with the help of Design Thinking. Dr. Claudia Nicolai and the HPI D-School plan and facilitate the Design Thinking activities during the Innovation for Jobs conference.
