The innovative bacherlor's and master's programs of the joint Digital Engineering Faculty of the Hasso Plattner Institute and the University of Potsdam are characterized by their practically-oriented education. We enable students to learn in small groups with the special supervision of our professors. Our graduates enjoy a high reputation in industry and research.
Our bachelor’s degree program in IT Systems Engineering provides students with strong practical and software-oriented computer science skills and knowledge. The study combines the foundations of software development with engineering methodology. Emphasis is therefore not only placed on the necessary theoretical background but also on hands-on expertise.
The Hasso Plattner Institute's innovative and future-oriented Master Degree Programs Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, Digital Health and IT Systems Engineering train students for future leadership positions. Design Thinking is a methodical approach that enables creative solutions and innovation to be developed in a goal-oriented manner, and is widely studied and researched at the Hasso Plattner Institute in cooperation with Stanford University.

In addition, the HPI Research School has branch offices with international doctoral programs in South Africa, Israel and China. Our graduates are highly respected in industry and research, and already have renowned practice contacts at the beginning of their careers.
