Description
Programming technique 1 conveys the introductory aspects of programming from "Hello World" to basic data and program structures, as well as a brief outline of the historical background.

Learning
Two appointments per week in which lectures alternate with interactive exercises.
Examination
There will be a middle exam (30% of the overall grade) and a final exam (70% of the overall grade).
To be admitted to the exam, a total of 50% of all exercise points must be achieved.

Lectures / exercises: Monday 9:15 am and Thursday 11:00 am

October 25: no lecture. Instead (1) please register for the dokuwiki with your HPI email address. (2) Register for the mailing list (pt1-ws1920@lists.myhpi.de). (3) Work through exercise 0 in dokuwiki , ie, install and test your compiler.
October 28: Problems with exercise 0? Get help with this help appointment. Please bring your laptop computer with you to the lecture room.
November 01: First lecture. Please bring your laptop computer with a running programming environment.
December 13: Estimated date of the intermediate exam
February 17: Estimated date of the final exam
