The chair for system analysis and modeling (Prof. Dr. Holger Giese) is looking for excellent


Phd students and/or Post Docs (m/f)

for any of the following topic areas:

  • Software engineering for self-adaptive systems:
    MDE, architecture, runtime models, formal analysis
  • Cyber-physical systems, internet of things, system of systems:
    MDE, self-adaptation, self-organization, formal analysis
  • MDE techniques (queries, transformation, synchronization, global model management): modeling, efficient execution, formal analysis
  • Techniques for the formal analysis of graph transformation systems
  • Agile and innovative projects: process guidance

    We expect from applicants:

    • an excellent Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline
    • some expertise in the area of the listed topic and system- and software development
    • being capable of doing independent research
    • strong commitment and the ability to work in a team


    • Working hours: 40 hours per week
    • Start date: earliest possible
