Step into Your IT-Career

The Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) would like to invite internal and external female students to get into conversation and tackle the topic of careers together. Despite the high demand for young IT professionals, the proportion of women in companies throughout Germany is still only 18 percent - a meager increase of two percent compared to the previous year, according to a study by the digital association Bitkom.

The networking day will focus on how female students can find their professional path after university and why it pays to assert oneself in the IT industry. In addition to presentations, the agenda also includes a wide range of workshops on topics related to the application process in the IT industry.

This is what you will take away as a participant:

An important aspect that accompanies the participants throughout the day is the impact on their own career path: Where do I see myself? Where do I want to go? On the networking day, the young women come together to talk about successes and setbacks. With a broad agenda, HPI provides impulses for self-reflection and exchange and imparts tips and skills with which the participants can prepare themselves for the application process.

Application for the Networking Day

Interested female computer science students from all universities and colleges can register online for the network day. The number of participants is limited to 20. The prerequisite for participation is the submission of a current curriculum vitae and a brief explanation of why you would like to participate in the network day.
