Investor Spotlight: Doug Mohr

You have the great opportunity to meet Doug Mohr, Managing Director from Sutter Hill Ventures, who happens to be in Berlin at the moment and agreed to share some insights with us. Sutter Hill Ventures is one of the oldest VC firms in the world and has been financing and building successful companies since 1962. The Silicon Valley is one of the wealthiest regions in the world and known as a global center of technological innovation. Many high-profile technology companies have been founded in the Silicon Valley, making the region an attractive target for venture capitalist investors. It is also home to a large number of technologically innovative companies including Alphabet (formerly known as Google), Apple, Cisco Systems, Facebook, and Netflix.

Speaker: Doug Mohr, Managing Director from Sutter Hill Ventures & Head of Research at Sutter Hill Ventures with principal responsibility for making sure the right founders and technical minds are involved in the companies they are building.

What is it about: The talk will be about the venture capital ecosystem in Silicon Valley, Sutter Hill Venture’s unique history as one of the oldest VC firms in the world, and the evolution of their business model to the point where they now design, create, build, and of course finance new systems companies from first principles. Snowflake Computing will be discussed as a case study.
