Looking Back on Iraq

L. Paul Bremer III (Op-Ed, Jan. 13) gives us a comprehensive catalog of ineptitude, ignorance and delusion. It is increasingly clear that the Bush administration had no idea what it was getting into when it invaded Iraq, no understanding of Iraqi or Middle Eastern history and no plan beyond the initial military assault.
Mr. Bremer's validation of the folly of this war is complete.
