Katrin Lütkemüller Shaw

Katrin studied interface design in Potsdam and at Malmö University, receiving her B.A. Hon. in 2011. Whilst working for her degree she was looking for a balance to her solitary work on her thesis and a new opportunity to develop design methods and innovations within teamwork - so she started the Basic Track at HPI D-School.

After her degree, she got the chance to work at T-Labs for the user driven innovation team; bringing her design thinking methods with her and do user research in diverse areas. Katrin graduated from the Advanced Track in summer 2012 with a project together with Volkswagen Bank.

Since 2013, Katrin has been coaching at HPI D-School and the HPI Academy and loves to explore new topics and to face new challenges in her work. When Katrin isn't coaching, she works as a freelance UX- and Service designer for various companies.

She is also currently writing her Master's thesis for the Goethe Institut whilst managing her family - her English husband and her 1 year old son Otto. With a flare for DIY work, Katrin loves to be technically and creatively active.
