Andrea Rhinow

Andrea Rhinow got her Master of Education at the University of Potsdam. Along with her specifications in linguistics, politics and paedagogics, Andrea studied Design Thinking at the HPI D-School in Potsdam in 2009/2010.

Andrea started off with introducing Design Thinking to high school students at the Evangelische Schule Berlin Zentrum were she was working as a teacher in 2012/2013. As a part of the Design Thinking Research Program, Andrea did a case study evaluating Design Thinking as a tool for teachers to facilitate competence-oriented teaching and learning, which was published summer 2012.

Since 2013, Andrea was leading the BioThinking Program at the Berlin-Brandenburg Graduate School for Regenerative Therapies, which fostered team and project skills using a Design Thinking-based curriculum for Doctoral Students of the Charite University Hospital Berlin. She went on parental leave in 2016/2017, and received a stipend to work on her Dissertation after coming back in Autumn 2017.

Currently, she is working on her Doctoral Thesis about "Transdisciplinary Knowledge Creation in Design Thinking Teams".
