Caroline Szymanski

Caroline’s  many and impossible-to-combine interests gave her a hard time finding 'that one perfect profession'. While studying Design Thinking at the HPI D-School in 2010 she realized how opposites and odd combinations can be the best source for intriguing insights and thrilling ideas.

After learning French in France, Italian in Italy, glimpsing economy at BMW, journalism at the ZDF, dancing in Paris and acting in New York, Caroline studied neuroscience in Cologne, Paris, Berlin and Milan. She investigated neural correlates of deception and consciousness and now researches the neural underpinnings of team dynamics at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain and the Max Planck Institute of Human Development.

Caroline has worked in the field of PR and communication, costumer journey and foresight at PCH Innovations and in project management at the HPI D-School before she co-founded Kandoee, where she now helps spread Design Thinking in the corporate world. To make people smile a little more not only at HPI D-School.
