Afridun Amu

Afridun studied law and social science at Free University Berlin, Humboldt University Berlin and University of New South Wales Sydney. Along the way he worked in law firms, the German parliament and NGOs. He wrote his final thesis about the constitutional requirements of an islamic religious education at German public schools.

Since he studied at the HPI D-School in 2015, he added Design Thinking to the mix, co-founded the Berlin-based innovation consultancy Kandoee and introduced Design Thinking to his work as a research fellow and consultant for Constitutional law at the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the rule of law, with frequent services in Afghanistan. For example, he led Design Thinking Workshops with high-ranking representatives of the Afghan government in Kabul.

Afridun volunteers as a German teacher for refugees at YAAR. e.V, loves traveling to remote surf spots and represented Afghanistan at the World championship in May 2017.
