Increase your creativity: A new online course offers an introduction into human centered research

What fosters our creativity? How are new ideas generated and how do I create new products and services that fulfill the needs of the user from the outset? Three innovation and Design Thinking experts from the HPI School of Design Thinking now offer an online introductory course to this approach for interested persons from all over the world. On 24 August 2017 their free online course “Inspirations for Design” will start on the platform https://open.hpi.de.

For five weeks they will support course participants in unfolding and fostering their creativity and innovative capacity. Previous knowledge in the field of Design Thinking is not necessary. Participants should schedule three to six hours per week for the course. To register please go to: https://open.hpi.de/courses/insights-2017.

Our three experienced Design Thinking experts Mana Taheri (32), Karen von Schmieden (27), and Lena Mayer (27) plan to assign many practical tasks. They would like to explain how to recognize and understand and why an innovative solutions is necessary in the first place. Moreover, participants should practice to closely observe potential users in their environments and understand the importance of discovering hidden needs of the users. To be able to gain relevant insights, participants will learn how to conduct interviews, too.
