Beschreibung

--------

Many people with disabilities lack the tools they need to live and work. For this reason, the maker movement is increasingly developing individual solutions as open source hardware and is making them openly accessible in digital form. The 2nd Open Health HACKademy once again invites students from different disciplines, experts from the health and care sector, as well as people with disabilities and makers to participate in this movement. Together, we develop open source tools and make them available in a reproducible and documented form. This time we will again be working on exciting problems, for example the development of a bicycle for people with spasticity or the hacking of joysticks for electric wheelchairs, in order to make them more intuitive and ergonomic. You will be supported by experienced coaches from the fields of electronic prototyping, coding, digital fabrication and design thinking.

The event is organized as part of the projects Match My Maker (www.matchmymaker.de) and Careables (www.careables.org) by the non-profit organizations be able e.V. and Prototypes Collective / Agile Heap e.V.
and is supported by Fab Lab Berlin, the D-School / Hasso-Plattner-Institut Potsdam and the Technical University Berlin.

Take a look at the exciting cases at https://be-able.info/de/projekte/HACKademy/ and apply for the HACKademy until 11th of August 2019.
