Beschreibung

This lecture represents a balanced combination of economic concepts and practical experiences from the first ideas to starting to run a new venture. Beginning with an introduction to the Entrepreneurial Perspective, an overview of the skills required in entrepreneurship, of key aspects in entrepreneurial management and the characteristics of both traditional and entrepreneurial strategy will be given as well as a comparison of entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and traditional managers. Significant aspects of start-up strategies, technology, proprietorship, legal forms of business ownership, product and market planning, fundamental marketing and organizational design are discussed in connection with Creating and Starting the Venture. Furthermore, the essential process of Financing the New Venture is illustrated. The lecture closes with a special emphasis on Human Resource Management dealing with management activities and competitive strategies concerning normative, strategic and operative management aspects.

The final grade will be composed  of the following:

40 % Presentation

40% Business Plan

20 % Written Test

 

You can also register for the lecture with 3 Credit Points (2 SWS).

In that case the final grade will be composed of the following:

100 % Written Test with the possibility of inclusion a Mini-Business- Plan
