About me

Thomas Haskamp is a Research Associate at the Chair for Design Thinking and Innovation Hasso Plattner Institute. He is further a member of the HPI Stanford Design Thinking Research Program. As part of his PhD endeavour, Thomas is investigating inertia and resistance to change within digital transformation initiatives of incumbent firms. Thus, he is collaborating with renowned firms accompanying their digital transformation efforts, which include developing new digital innovations (Services and Products) and structural adjustment (SAFe, Scrum, Digital Innovation Units) that organizations pursue to strengthen their capabilities. In terms of methods, Thomas follows a critical realist inspired qualitative approach focusing on case studies. He further shares some expertise with Q-Methodology. His research has been published primarily in the area of information systems, in particular in conferences such as AMCIS, HICSS, WI, ECIS and ICIS.
