March 27 and 28, 2023

At a glance

Faculty at HPI and MIT are cordially invited to attend the program workshop for the HPI-MIT Designing for Sustainability Program. The partnership aims to drive joint scientific research in multidisciplinary teams. In this cooperation with MIT Morningside Academy for Design (MAD), housed in the MIT School of Architecture and Planning there is a focus on sustainable design, innovation, and digital technologies. Each year the steering committee will award approximately ten grants, ranging from $50,000 to $200,000 per year.

If you are interested in submitting a funding application, you are encouraged to join the program workshop to be held at MIT on March 27-28. The workshop is meant to identify possible synergies and areas of interest between attendees, facilitating their ability to propose collaborative projects. The workshop schedule was designed to allow for short research presentations of 10-minutes and a generous amount of time for networking. The workshop will feature two 90-minute morning sessions and a 90-minute afternoon session.
