Melissa Ouellet currently serves as a Managing Data Scientist for the Digital Health Cluster at the Hasso Plattner Institute.She previously worked as a Research Associate for the Technology and Operations Management Unit at Harvard Business School and acted as Short Term Consultant for the World Bank Group's Health, Nutrition & Population Global Practice. Melissa holds an MSc in Applied Statistics from the University of Oxford, an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BEng in Civil Engineering from McGill University.
Research Interests
My research focuses on advancing data and methodologies for healthcare applications. Currently, I am particularly interested in exploring clinical trials that leverage AI to drive innovation in drug development.

I was working at HBS from 2008 until 2024 and have been at the HPI since then. My educational background includes a BEng in Civil Engineering (McGill), an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) (LSE), and an MSc in Applied Statistics (Oxon).
