Short Bio
Dr. Philipp Stoffers is a physician with many years of clinical experience in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He currently works as a program manager and lecturer for innovation in healthcare at HPI's School of Entrepreneurship and as a research associate at HPI's Digital Health Cluster. Prior to joining HPI, he participated in a research exchange (funded by the Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft) at Harvard Medical School, where, as part of the MESH incubator, he taught design thinking to fellow physicians to bring innovative ideas to the patient's bedside. In parallel to his work at HPI, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Medical Data Science at RWTH Aachen in cooperation with Charité, focusing on Digital Therapeutics in Liver Disease. He is also a member of the MBA Class of 2025 at the University of St. Gallen.
Research Interests
Besides my interest in digital health solutions for the field of hepatology, during my time here at HPI I am trying to find out how medical innovations get out of the heads to the patient's bedside. With this understanding my vision is to build an excellent ecosystem for technology transfer and spin-offs here.
