Welcome to the LWDA 2016 conference hosted by Hasso-Plattner-Institute (HPI) at the University of Potsdam, September 12-14, 2016! The acronym LWDA expands to “Lernen, Wissen, Daten, Analysen” (“Learning, Knowledge, Data, Analytics”). Recent research in the field is presented and discussed from the viewpoint of machine learning, data mining, knowledge extraction, knowledge management, information retrieval, personalization, database management, information systems, big data management and big data analytics to name a few.
Watch our new MOOC in German about hate and fake in the Internet ("Trolle, Hass und Fake-News: Wie können wir das Internet retten?") on openHPI (link).
Our work on Measuring and Comparing Dimensionality Reduction Algorithms for Robust Visualisation of Dynamic Text Collections will be presented at CHIIR 2021.
I added some photos from my trip to Hildesheim.
