Beschreibung
This course deals specifically with the challenges of technical and academic writing for Bachelors, Masters and PhD level students who are writing their thesis, and Masters and PhD students who are writing project work or articles for publication.
During the semester, students' individual writing projects will provide the foundation for analysis and growth in critical reasoning, argument structure and clarity in writing. At the end of the semester, students will have completed significant work toward their writing project and will also have made a detailed oral presentation of their project.
Students will gain experience in assessing and developing their own written work, constructing logical arguments, enhancing critical thinking skills, giving and receiving constructive feedback, as well as professional level presentation - all in the context of their own subject-specific area of expertise.
The number of participants is limited to best promote customization, effectively accommodate the needs of the students, and be most efficient in a limited 90-minute weekly course offering.
