The 2023 Summer School on Algorithm Engineering for Network Problems was held on 19.-22.09.2023 at Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.

The target audience were PhD students and PostDocs with an interest in algorithms, algorithm research and/or
network problems.

Lectures were given by

  • Hannah Bast (University of Freiburg): Knowledge Graphs
  • Thomas Bläsius (Karlsruhe Instutite of Technology): Geometric Inhomogeneous Random Graphs
  • Gerth Stølting Brodal (Aarhus University): Algorithm Engineering the Theory,
  • Michael Fellows (University of Bergen): Some new directions in parameterized algorithms and complexity motivated by practical computing and large network problems,
  • Giuseppe F. Italiano (LUISS University Rome): Temporal Graphs,
  • Riko Jacob (IT University Copenhagen): Algorithms and Data Structures – Lower bounds for various models of computation,
  • Henning Meyerhenke (Humboldt-University Berlin): Algorithmic Network Analysis with NetworKit,
  • Francesco Silvestri (University of Padova): Algorithms for Tensor Cores and Processing in Memory

See here for directions to the HPI campus in Potsdam, at the border to Berlin.

Location: All lectures were held in lecture hall L-E.03 in Building L on HPI campus 2.
