German Informatics Society (GI)
The Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI) is the largest professional society for computer science in the German-speaking world. Since 1969, it has represented the interests of computer scientists in science, society, and politics, and is committed to digitization for the common good. With 14 departments, over 30 active regional groups and about 150 specialist groups, the GI is the platform and mouthpiece for all disciplines in computer science. The GI has set itself ethical guidelines that serve as orientation for its members. In a position paper, the GI acknowledges the responsibility of computer science on the way to climate neutrality.
