Starting from 2:00 p.m. Workshops
Most AI initiatives fail not because the technology isn’t ready, but because organizations treat AI as a technology challenge when it’s an articulation challenge. You can’t delegate what you can’t articulate and most strategic decision-making has never been made explicit enough to hand off to anyone, human or machine. The organizations that solve this don’t just get better at AI. They become places where decisions are visible, delegation is understandable, and people can actually trust the logic they’re asked to operate under. Articulation doesn’t just enable AI adoption, it builds the kind of organization people want to work in.
A speculative design exercise where participants form leadership teams for a hospital of the future, build a shared AI vision, then write it as instructions clear enough for an agent that wasn’t in the room to carry out on their behalf. It’s easy to spend a hundred billion tokens. It’s hard to spend them well. Participants will leave with a concrete method for testing whether their strategic thinking is actually delegatable, and a firsthand experience of where it breaks down.
This high-impact Design Thinking workshop at the Digital Health Innovation Forum is built for decision-makers, innovators, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders who want to move beyond discussion and into structured co-creation.
Clinical practice surfaces problems that are difficult to communicate to developers and even harder to prioritize. In this Stanford Biodesign workshop, you’ll learn to translate your observations into focused need statements that are broad enough to be meaningful and specific enough to act on, experimenting with problem scope, population, and outcome framing until you arrive at something actionable.
Germany stands at a pivotal moment in healthcare innovation. Technological breakthroughs, regulatory shifts, and rising expectations from patients and professionals alike are reshaping the system faster than ever before. Yet real progress will not be driven by single actors—it will emerge where industry, healthcare providers, innovators, and technology leaders co-create the future together. Rather than repeating well-known challenges, this panel is designed to actively generate future-oriented insights. Together with the audience, the speakers will identify and prioritize the most relevant healthcare innovation trends for Germany’s industrial and clinical landscape—from AI-enabled care pathways and digital medical devices to cross-sector partnerships and scalable innovation models.
This workshop presents the results of the European FLUTE project and explores how federated learning can enable privacy-preserving AI in healthcare. Through expert inputs, interactive discussions and a stakeholder panel, participants will examine key challenges around data governance, legal frameworks, clinical integration and patient trust in AI-driven healthcare.
