Link to the Moodle course: "Hölzle, K.: Digital Entrepreneurship" .

This virtual course will be offered by Prof. Dr. Katharina Hölzle together with Valeska Maul, Nina Bachmann, and Dr. Robert Rose. There will be case studies and articles to be read, presented, and discussed but also high-level guest speakers from the entrepreneurial, corporate, and policy world.

In this course, the students will learn how to think, act, and do impactful research in an entrepreneurial way. We will be using a reflective approach to Digital Entrepreneurship, emphasizing an entrepreneurial mindset. With this course, we address all students, who are already thinking about becoming an entrepreneur, students who are not sure yet whether they want to become entrepreneurs but who are interested in entrepreneurial topics and entrepreneurial thinking, and also students who definitely never want to become an entrepreneur but who are mindful of societal and sustainable challenges that require new ways of thinking. Especially in these current times, we want to encourage proactive thinking about the ‘new normal’ in times of crisis.

What we will do:

  • Learn about current and future grand challenges
  • Acquire futures and entrepreneurial thinking skills
  • Contextualizing common assumptions about Entrepreneurship
  • Tackling topics which are currently discussed in media and academia
  • Going beyond the ‘Universal Startup Monomyth’ (white, male, garage)

But not…

  • Write a Business Plan
  • Teach you creative methods, Design Thinking, and toolbox competence (BMC, etc.)
