Prof. Friedrich gives keynote about "Models of large real-world networks" on the first day of the 10th Annual Symposium on Future Trends in Service-Oriented Computing.

Title: Models of large real-world networks
Abstract: The node degrees of large real-world networks often follow a power-law distribution. Such networks are typically called scale-free networks and occur in literally hundreds of domains like social networks, internet topologies, the web graph, power grids, and many others. The talk will introduce the basics of network science, present a number of models of scale-free networks and will hint how to analyze some of their properties.
