There will be two new PhD students in the Algorithm Engineering group in the next two months. Ziena Elijazyfer starts in October. He received a Master's degree in mathematics from the Zuse Institute Berlin. In his master thesis he developed A 2-Approximation Algorithm for a Balancing k-Subgraph Partition problem. Ardalan Khazraei, starting in November, also holds a Master in mathematics. He worked on Cost-Distance Steiner Trees during his studies at the University of Bonn. Both PhD students will join the newly founded HPI Reseach School on Data Science and Engineering.
