Besides the ones previously announced, there are two additional PhD students joining the Algorithm Engineering group until the end of the year.
Nadym Mallek studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Sorbonne University (Paris 6), for his Master in Artificial Intelligence he focused on operations research, algorithmics, and machine learning. Nadym will join the group in early November. Hans Gawendowicz is an HPI student who already has a long history with the AE group, he tutored for our lectures or participated in our Bachelor and Master Projects in every semester since Winter 2017. Hans will join as a PhD student in December after finishing his Master Thesis on network creation games.
