We are happy to announce two new members joining the Algorithm Engineering group on April 1. Samuel Baguley is our new postdoc. He did his undergraduate studies in mathematics at the University of Bath and then pursued a PhD with the Heidelberg-Mannheim Probability and Statistics group. He recently defended his thesis on Path Integrals of Standard Markov Processes under the supervision of Rainer Dahlhaus and Leif Döring. Our new PhD student Aishwarya Radhakrishnan received Master degrees in both mathematics and data science from the Central University of Tamil Nadu and the Chennai Mathematical Institute. Her work focuses on artificial neural networks and their application to image recognition as well as challenges in retail and logistics.
