The Digital Engineering Faculty of the University of Potsdam is announcing two new joint professorships with the Hasso Plattner Institute:
- Professorship in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems (W3)
- Professorship in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (W3)
They are part of the extensive expansion of the faculty and the institute. The professorship focusing on intelligent systems will emphasize the design and engineering of scalable intelligent systems. The one for machine learning will concentrate on the design, development and research into machine learning algorithms and deep learning technologies. Both positions come with a teaching obligation.
Tobias Friedrich of the Algorithm Engineering group serves as the head of the appointment committees for both professorships. The official application deadline is July 31, but applications are still taken into consideration if received till October 31.
