Professor for Design Thinking and Innovation Research (extern)

Ich bin Professor für Innovationsforschung und Design Thinking am Hasso-Plattner-Institut der Universität Potsdam und an der Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Management der Universität St. Gallen. Mein akademischer Weg begann mit einem Hintergrund in Wirtschaftsinformatik (M.Sc.) und Betriebswirtschaft (Ph.D.), der meine aktuellen Forschungsinteressen geprägt hat.

Meine Arbeit dreht sich in erster Linie um drei Schlüsseldimensionen: die Erforschung der Frage, wie Individuen durch die Brille der Psychologie, der Neurowissenschaften und der Wirtschaftsinformatik ein nachhaltigeres Leben führen können; das Verständnis dafür, wie etablierte Unternehmen den Übergang zu einer CO2-freien Produktion bewältigen; und die Untersuchung der Anwendung von Design Thinking in Organisationen, Teams und individuellen Praktiken. Darüber hinaus beschäftige ich mich intensiv mit der digitalen Transformation von Organisationen, insbesondere in der Industrie in Deutschland und der Schweiz.

Darüber hinaus widme ich einen großen Teil meiner Zeit der Lehre und dem Coaching von Führungskräften und Fachleuten, um sie bei der Bewältigung komplexer Herausforderungen zu unterstützen und wirkungsvolle Veränderungen voranzutreiben. Im Laufe meiner Karriere habe ich mehrere Bestseller und mehr als 200 wissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen verfasst und mitverfasst.

Gegenwärtig konzentrieren wir uns auf digitale Innovation und Transformation mit einer starken Perspektive auf kognitive und verhaltensbezogene Aspekte, Management und Anwendung von Design Thinking sowie auf den Abschluss unserer globalen Design Thinking-Studie.
