The Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems research group studies diverse aspects of AI. The main focus is on devising methods to better understand and organize the vast amounts of text, image, and other data that are now available. This includes methods to make large language models (LLMs) more reliable and better adapt them to new languages and use cases as well as methods to identify new connections between diverse kinds of data (e.g. texts and databases). Additionally, the team also conducts research on societal and philosophical issues of AI.
