AI Workshop: “Working with Embeddings: An Introductory Workshop with Applications on Semantic Search”

In this workshop, you will learn various approaches to creating a semantic search engine. You will need basic Python knowledge for this. In the background talk to be watched in advance, you will learn what embeddings are. In the workshop itself, we will then show you how different embedding models work and what their advantages and disadvantages are. 

In this hands-on workshop, we will look at proven embeddings, such as the bag-of-words model. We will explore their applications and related considerations, especially with regard to building our own semantic search engine. In addition, we explore modern techniques that make it possible to develop embeddings. We apply what we learn in practice by continuously testing the developed embeddings in the context of semantic search and evaluating their effectiveness in retrieving relevant information.
