In the Northwestern Europe Regional Contest (NWERC), a competiitve programming contest by ICPC, two HPI student teams participated with great success. Trained in our Competitive Programming courses and coached by Kirill Simonov, the team of Tobias Röhr, Lukas Hagen, Konrad Letz, and the team of Till Bergmann, Simon Cyrani und Marius Dörbandt managed to reach the 3rd and 47th place, respectively. For the first team with the name Seems to be O(k!) this means that they even qualified for the European Championship which will be held in Porto, Portugal on 28 February - 2 March 2025. Simultaneously they also qualified for the World Finals to be held in late 2025.
The Algorithm Engineering group congratulates both teams on their amazing rankings and wishes Seems to be O(k!) success in both championships!
