Matthew Shears has extensive experience in public policy, advocacy, communications, business development and strategy in both the public and private sectors. After working for the Foreign Commercial Service of the US Department of Commerce in Brussels, he worked as AT&T‘s EMEA Regional Director for Public Affairs, drove public policy in Europe for the Seattle-based satellite Internet start-up Teledesic, moved to Cisco where he led the EMEA Government Affairs team and then joined ISOC in 2005.
