At the latest OGC Technical Committee meeting, held from Nov 28 till Dec 2, 2011, in Brussels, the results of the OGC 3D Portrayal Interoperability Experiment (3DPIE) have been presented to the members of the 3D Information Management working group. In several talks, results in the three work threads, Data Integration, Service Integration, and Service Delivery, have been discussed and illustrated by multiple demonstrations. As one of two initiative managers, Benjamin Hagedorn, member of the HPI Computer Graphics group, has led this presentation. A report about 3DPIE results will be published within the next months.
