The joint project Digipolis has been presented at the e-City forum at this year’s Xinnovations conference, which was held in Berlin on September 21, 2011. The forum was entitled “Navigation in 3D Building Models”; it included several talks that showed results of the Digipolis project and highlighted future directions for research and development. In his talk about the “Integration of Thematic Information into 3D Visualization”, Matthias Trapp, member of the Computer Graphics Systems working group at the Hasso Plattner Institute, presented work and ideas on 3D labeling and perception-oriented 3D visualization. Digipolis has been funded by BMBF in its WK Potential program.
